After graduating from high school, Sreytoch has been working as a freelance digital marketer and also co-founded an educational platform called “វិនាទី-Vineaty”. She has participated in many competitions, volunteers, educational forums and this time at the Cambodia ICT Camp 2022, she has high hopes that it’ll bring her the most unique experiences. In addition, she also expressed her interests towards the program of how captivating and beneficial the topics are, covering various aspects of digital technology, which is suitable for all relevant and interested individuals. She added that volunteering this time, she holds a high commitment and hopes to learn more as well as to meet new people.

Menghang is a third year student in Paragon International University, majoring in computer science. Currently, he is also working as a part-time mobile application developer at one local Edtech Startups. For his past experience, he used to be a mentor in both programming and mathematical fields as well. He is looking forward to the Cambodia ICT Camp as it will not only help improve his soft skills but also the technical skill that relates to his major.

Theary is currently studying a bachelor’s degree in international studies at the Institute of Foreign Languages, as well as a one-year professional course in UX/UI design at the TUX Global Institute. She appreciates becoming a volunteer at ICT Camp because she wants to learn more about technology from both foreign and local speakers, and she foresees that this camp will provide her with the best opportunity to seek and learn something new in society while also enhancing her ability and knowledge in the future path. Chihor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Management from the Department of Media and Communication, Royal University of Phnom Penh. Prior to joining ODC, he joined the Documentation Center of Cambodia (DC-Cam) as a media intern, and CARE Deutschland – in Germany – as a Communications and Advocacy intern. He was also a Public Relations volunteer at the Department of Media and Communication. He joined ODC in 2020 as a Communications Officer. He is now responsible for planning and coordinating the Cambodia ICT Camp.

Linking to the Cambodia ICT Camp 2022, he plays an important role in supporting admin and logistics arrangement for the whole event. He identifies the best quality of transportation and works closely with the hotel to ensure well arrangement of food, accommodation, and venue of the event. He also works out with Senior Finance and Admin Officer on printing materials, including t-shirts, tote bags, and backdrops.

At ODC, Vichra is mainly responsible for ensuring the well-functionality of IT network systems and infrastructure, including hardware and software. His primary responsibility is on digital security control, system upgrade, and other IT-related support. He also supports website development and maintenance. During Cambodia ICT Camp 2022, his main role evolves around technical support for the whole camp.

Vatana has been proactively working for ODC since 2016 as Editor-Researcher and Research and Content Officer. With years of extensive experience, Vatana has been recognized for the leading role in coordinating and supervising the content and web development teams in online resources expansion. In late 2020, she was enthusiastically promoted to Research and Web Content Manager.
Vatana has been part of the Mekong ICT Camp 2017 and the Cambodia ICT Camp 2018 as a Camp Facilitator. She assisted regarding invitations and processing other needed documents to support the volunteers, participants, speakers, and other honor guests to join the event, as well as logistic arrangement. In the Cambodia ICT Camp 2022, she plays another role in facilitating the regular camp advisory committee meeting and site visits. She gives her hand to help the Cambodia ICT Camp Manager and the team with other tasks as needed, including content development and social media outreach during the camp.

Puthealy carries out quantitative research from public data sources on development, economic and environmental issues for internal and external publishing, together with further critical data analysis and visualization. Within the Cambodia ICT Camp 2022, not only does he share partially speech on the FIM presentation, but he also handles on facilitating the first aid kit, greeting and welcoming guests (guest receptionist) during dinner time, and assisting participation registration list/miscellaneous.

Ms. Sopheap Chak is the Executive Director of the Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR), a human rights organization working for the promotion and protection of political and civil rights in Cambodia. As one of the country’s most prominent human rights advocates, Sopheap’s work has been recognized by the former US President Barack Obama. She is a recipient of the Indian-ASEAN Youth Award (Young Women Achiever Category) and Franco-German Prize for Human Rights and the Rule of Law. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Peace Studies from the International University of Japan. Sopheap is also a human rights blogger (http://sopheapfocus.com/).

Mr. Ngeth Moses is original from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He worked as Production Head and executive producer in a regional radio station for 3 years, a Communication and ICT project coordinator for 10years, ICT & Media Unit Head for almost 3 years and Digital Security Expert/Consultant from 2018 till now.
He does training on digital security and safety online for young people as well as citizen journalists and professional journalists. He is also a co-founder of the Open Cyber Talk – Digital Rights event. He provides a consultancy of cyber threats to both individuals and non-profit organizations to prevent digital attacks, data breaches, and personal information leaks.

Nop Vy is the Executive Director and one of the founding members of the Cambodian Journalists Alliance Association (CamboJA). Prior to this, he was CamboJA’s board director while serving as a Media Director at Cambodian Center for Independent Media (CCIM). Since 2001, Nop Vy has worked as a social worker, news reporter, editor, and editor-in-chief. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in private law from the Royal University of Law and Economy in Phnom Penh and an associate degree in journalism from the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

Sar Mory is a Co-Founder and former Vice-President of the Cambodian Youth Network. Currently, he is a Senior Training and Communication Officer at the Arbitration Council Foundation. He has a decade of experience campaigning with youth and communities on human rights, digital rights, and environmental issues. Mory is also a human and environmental rights educator, focused on supporting university students, youth activists, and rural communities affected by damaging development projects. He holds a master’s in International Human Rights Law from Pannasastra University, Cambodia.

Thy Try is the Executive Director/Editor-in-Chief of Open Development Cambodia (ODC). For the last ten years he has been promoting open data, a stronger open data community and open contracting to improve transparency and accountability for sustainable development in Cambodia and the wider Mekong region.
As Executive Director/Editor-in-Chief, Try plays an important role in increasing public access to current and historical data and information about Cambodia’s development trends. The primary avenue is ODC’s online open data platform, compiling freely-available data from a wide range of public sources.
In 2015, he joined the Mekong ICT Camp in Thailand as a participant and then in 2017 his organization had the great opportunity to host the Mekong ICT Camp 2017 outside of Thailand. Following its successful organization of this event, ODC was encouraged by committee members of the Mekong ICT Camp and the open data community to host the first Cambodian ICT Camp in 2018. Try also plays a key role in the fundraising campaign for the camp.
Try has a legal background and been involving with many research projects including the situation around cyber law and freedom of the internet in Cambodia since 2013. He is a member of the advisory committee of the Global Center for Mekong Studies (GCMS) Cambodia.
