Dr. Velislava HILLMAN is a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science, a lecturer at Goldsmiths, University of London, and a partner at Etoile Partners, where she founded and leads the Education Data Digital Safeguards (EDDS) project.

This initiative researches and evaluates educational technology software across legal, security, ethical, and accessibility standards. Dr. Hillman works at the intersection of policy, education, digital technologies, children’s rights, and wellbeing, advising national authorities and international organizations, including UNESCO, the European Union, and the UK Department for Education. Her work has been widely published in specialized journals and general media. She has presented at various conferences and venues, including the International Telecommunication Union, the United Nations Internet Governance Forum, IEEE, OECD, W Qatar, Oxford Internet Institute, University of California, Irvine, and most recently at the Cambodia ICT and Digital Forum.
