Muhammad Hafizh Nabiyyin

Hafizh Nabiyyin is a dedicated advocate for digital rights, freedom of expression, and human rights in Southeast Asia. As the Head of the Freedom of Expression Division at SAFEnet, he leads initiatives to support individuals facing criminalization under restrictive laws, such as Indonesia’s ITE Law and the Criminal Code. His work is rooted in extensive experience assisting victims of legal repression and defending digital democracy. Hafizh also contributes to policy and advocacy networks, including the Southeast Asia Collaborative Policy Network (SEA CPN) and the Digital Democracy Resilience Network Coalition.
With a nuanced approach to digital policy, Hafizh organizes public discussions, campaigns, and seminars addressing issues like tech platform accountability and the intersection of freedom of expression with emerging regulations. Hafizh actively participates in forums like the ASEAN Civil Society Conference/ASEAN People’s Forum (ACSC/APF) and contributes to projects that address digital authoritarianism and censorship impacting youth across ASEAN. His commitment to digital rights and tech accountability continues to drive his work, shaping a more democratic and inclusive digital landscape in Southeast Asia.
