Saowalak Jingjungvisut
Saowalak Jingjungvisut is a passionate advocate for empowering youth, women, and vulnerable communities through the use of technology. Based in Thailand, she currently serves as the Partnerships and Communications Manager at the East-West Management Institute – Open Development Initiative (EWMI-ODI). In this role, Saowalak is dedicated to researching and curating content for platforms such as Open Development Mekong (ODM) and Open Development Thailand (ODT), which promote an inclusive, accessible, and transparent information ecosystem.
With a strong background in communications, Saowalak specializes in data-driven storytelling, social media strategies, and data visualization. She uses her tech-savvy skills to enhance the accessibility of data and ensure that vital information is publicly shared to benefit communities. Her work focuses on developing tailored training programs that foster data and digital literacy, particularly among underrepresented groups. Throughout her career, Saowalak has led initiatives involving diverse stakeholders, including indigenous groups, the forestry sector, and media organizations. By building empowering spaces for knowledge transfer, she supports sustainable development and advocates for the role of women in technology and digital spaces.
